HD Movies Point: one post for every film, from Mumbai to Hollywood
HD Movies Point works like a film blog. Every movie gets its own post, with a small calendar badge for its release date, a blue title, the category it belongs to, a still from the film, a few lines of story and a blue More button. The posts run down the main column, newest first, while a sidebar keeps the categories, the most popular films and the years close at hand. Behind every post, the film page carries the full details and a Watch now button that opens the film in HD on the services that carry it in your country.
This guide explains the site from top to bottom and then walks through the films on it. It covers the layout, the posts, the sidebar and the film pages; then Bollywood, South Indian cinema, Punjabi films, Hollywood and the classics; and finally the practical side of watching: picture quality, dubbing and subtitles, phones and TVs, My List, free and paid services, and staying safe.
The header and the blue menu
At the top of every page sits the HD Movies Point title: a blue play disc beside the name in blue, with Point picked out in orange, and a short italic line underneath that reads Bollywood and Hollywood movies in HD. On the right, a rounded search box with a blue button is ready for a title, an actor or a director.
Under the title runs the blue menu, a bar of rounded tabs: Home, Bollywood, Hollywood, South, Punjabi, Classics, Top IMDb and Latest, with a lighter My List tab at the far right. The tab for the page you are on turns pale and its text turns blue, as if it were a folder tab lifted to the front.
On a phone the tabs fold into a blue Menu button beside the title, and the search box moves to its own line so it is easy to tap.
The white panel
Below the menu, the content sits on one large white panel with rounded corners, set against the light blue-grey page with its fine diagonal pattern. The panel holds two columns: the posts on the left and the sidebar on the right.
The same panel frames every page on the site, from the home page to a single film, a category or the help pages, so moving around always feels like one site.
On narrower screens the sidebar drops below the posts, and on a phone the panel keeps its rounded corners with slimmer margins.
Posts
Each film appears as a post. On the left of the post, a date badge shows the day of release in white on blue, the month in blue on white, and the year in small grey type underneath, like a page torn from a desk calendar.
To the right comes the title in blue with the year in brackets, then a small grey line beginning Posted in, which links to the film's category: Bollywood, Hollywood, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada or Punjabi. The same line adds the genres, the audience score with a star and the runtime in minutes.
A still from the film sits inside a white frame with a soft shadow, the story follows beside it, and a rounded blue More button closes the post. A dashed line separates one post from the next.
The welcome post
The first post on the home page is a welcome. It carries an orange Welcome label, the site's heading and a paragraph explaining how the posts and the Watch now button work.
A row of rounded links follows, leading straight to Bollywood, Hollywood, South Indian, Punjabi, the Classics and My List.
After the welcome, three featured posts introduce films worth a look this week, at the moment 12th Fail, Pathaan and War.
Latest posts
Under the featured posts, the Latest Posts heading introduces ten posts for the newest films in the catalogue, newest first. Bollywood releases, Hollywood blockbusters and South Indian hits appear side by side in date order, just as they arrive.
At the end of the list, an Older posts link opens the full Latest page, which lists every film by release date.
The New on HD Movies Point guide explains how films move from cinemas to streaming, and why a new release may reach your service a few weeks after its post appears.
Poster shelves on the home page
After the posts, three shelves show films as posters in white frames, four to a row. Bollywood comes first, South Indian second, and Top IMDb third, each with a link to its full page.
Poster titles sit under the frames in bold blue with the year in brackets, and turn orange when you point at them.
Below the shelves, every category is listed with its number of films, and the help pages follow as small boxes with a title and a line of description.
The sidebar
The sidebar on the right holds three blocks, each with a light gradient title bar. Categories lists twelve shortcuts with small orange arrows: Bollywood, Hollywood, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Punjabi, Classics, Action, Comedy, Romance, Thrillers and horror, and Family and animation.
Popular Movies lists eight of the most popular films right now, each with a small framed poster, its title, its year and its score.
Movies by year shows twenty year links as little blue boxes, from this year back, so you can jump straight to the films of a particular year.
The film page
Every film has its own page. The poster sits in a white frame beside the title, the original title, the year, the runtime and the genres, followed by the story and two buttons: Watch now and Add to My List.
A panel of facts lists the original title, release date, original language, country, runtime, studio and the TMDB audience score with its votes. The cast and director appear as chips, and similar films close the page.
Each page has a clean address built from the film's English title and its TMDB number, so links you share keep working.
Watch now
Watch now is the step from reading to watching. It leads to a panel where you choose your viewing country, and then opens the film on JustWatch, the directory that tracks which services carry each film in each country.
JustWatch lists subscriptions such as Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar, ZEE5 or SonyLIV, rental and purchase stores such as Google TV and Apple TV, and free services where they exist. One more click opens the film in that service's app or site.
The listings are updated daily, so Watch now always shows where a film is today. The How to watch guide walks through each step.
Your viewing country
Services differ from country to country, so the site asks for your viewing country once. India comes first, followed by the United States, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and others where Indian films have big audiences.
The choice is saved in your browser and used on every film page after that.
The country in the facts panel is something else: it tells you where the film was made, such as India for Kantara or the United States for Wonder Woman.
Search
The search box reads titles, original titles, cast and directors. Type Shah Rukh Khan to see his films, Rajamouli for the Baahubali films and RRR, or Nolan for his Hollywood epics.
Extra words people often add, such as hd movies point, full movie, download, 720p or Hindi dubbed, are skipped automatically, so a search reads the title itself.
The search page adds filters for genre, year, language, rating and order. The Finding a film guide has more examples.
Bollywood favourites
Bollywood is the heart of HD Movies Point, and many visitors start there. 12th Fail follows a young man from a Chambal village who aims for the civil services exam, and has become one of the most recommended Hindi films of recent years. Dangal tells the true story of a father who trains his daughters as wrestlers.
PK brings satire with warmth, Andhadhun is a thriller full of turns about a pianist who pretends to be blind, and Tumbbad is a dark fable about greed that looks like no other Hindi film.
The Bollywood guide picks more favourites, and the Bollywood category lists every Hindi film on the site.
When the old HD Movies Point blog was busy in the summer of 2017, its posts were full of that year's releases, and several of them are here with their own pages. Hindi Medium follows parents trying to get their daughter into an elite school, and Raabta is a romance across lifetimes.
Love stories have always been at the centre of Hindi cinema. Aashiqui 2 and Sanam Teri Kasam are romantic dramas with celebrated soundtracks, and Saiyaara is a recent hit about young musicians.
The Romance category brings these together with love stories from Hollywood and the South.
Telugu cinema
Telugu cinema from Hyderabad produces some of India's biggest films. RRR became a worldwide success with its story of two revolutionaries, and Bāhubali: The Beginning and Bāhubali 2: The Conclusion set new standards for Indian spectacle.
Gentler Telugu films include Sita Ramam, a period love story, and Hi Nanna, about a father and daughter. The Telugu category lists every film.
Tamil cinema
Tamil cinema from Chennai brings star power and strong stories. Vikram, Jailer, Leo, Master and Beast are big action films, while Maharaja is a revenge thriller with a clever structure.
Kannada films from Bengaluru have found audiences across India in recent years. K.G.F: Chapter 1 and K.G.F: Chapter 2 follow a young man's rise in the gold fields and became national hits.
For the biggest screen in the house, Hollywood's science fiction is hard to beat. Interstellar, Dune, Dune: Part Two and Blade Runner 2049 reward the best picture quality your service offers.
The Fast and Furious films run from The Fate of the Furious, which the blog posted in 2017, to Fast X. The Hollywood category lists every English-language film.
Many of these films come with Hindi dubbing on Indian services. The Family and animation category lists them all.
Drama and thrillers
For grown-up evenings, Hollywood drama and suspense fill the rest of the category. Oppenheimer follows the physicist behind the atomic bomb, Whiplash a young drummer and his teacher, and The Imitation Game the codebreakers of the Second World War.
HD is in the name, and the services you open from HD Movies Point deliver it. Their players move between 720p and 1080p to match your connection, so the picture stays smooth on a busy network and sharp on a fast one. Premium plans on the major services add 4K with HDR for many recent films, including Indian releases.
Most apps let you set a fixed quality or a data-saving mode. The 720p, 1080p and 4K guide explains the settings in each one.
Hindi dubbed and dual audio
Many visitors look for films in Hindi even when they were made in another language, and official services make that easy. Hollywood blockbusters and South Indian hits often carry a Hindi soundtrack alongside the original, and sometimes Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam tracks as well.
To switch, open the audio menu in the player during playback and pick the language. Avengers: Endgame, RRR, K.G.F: Chapter 2 and Pushpa 2 - The Rule are good examples of films with several audio tracks on the major services in India.
Subtitles come with the service. Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar, ZEE5 and SonyLIV include English subtitles for most Indian films, and many include Hindi subtitles for Hollywood films too.
They are timed for each service's copy of the film, so the words land on the right scene, and most apps remember your choice for the next film. On a television remote, the menu usually sits behind the down arrow or an options button.
Punjabi and Kannada films in particular are easier for audiences outside their home states with subtitles, and the original language of every film is shown on its page before you start.
Data on mobile
Many visitors watch on a phone with mobile data, so the numbers are worth knowing. An hour of standard definition uses well under a gigabyte, an hour of 1080p about three gigabytes, and 4K several times more.
Every major app has a mobile data setting. Choose a data-saving mode on the move and the best quality on Wi-Fi, and a monthly plan lasts much longer. Many Indian mobile plans also bundle a streaming service at no extra step.
A long film such as Bāhubali 2: The Conclusion is best downloaded in the app over Wi-Fi before a journey.
Downloads for later
Most major services let you download films inside their apps to watch later on a train, a flight or anywhere the signal drops. The film stays inside the app and plays at the quality you chose when downloading.
Downloads stay available while your subscription is active, with a viewing window once you start watching. You can pick a smaller download to save space on the phone or a larger one for a tablet.
From HD Movies Point the path is short: find the post, open the film page, press Watch now, choose a service that offers downloads, and save it over Wi-Fi.
On a phone
HD Movies Point keeps its blog layout on a phone, reshaped for a narrow screen. The blue tabs fold into the Menu button beside the title, the search box sits on its own line, and the posts stack in one column with the still from each film shown full width above the story.
The date badges step aside on the smallest screens to leave more room for the text, and the sidebar blocks move below the posts.
For one-tap access, add the site to your home screen from the browser menu. Films play in each service's official app; the Apps and devices guide explains the options.
On the television
A television does justice to the films on HD Movies Point, especially the South Indian epics and Hollywood science fiction. The simplest route is to find the film on your phone, then open it in the same service's app on your smart TV or streaming stick.
Chromecast and AirPlay send a film from the phone's app to the TV with a single tap, and the phone becomes the remote.
The site also opens in a television's web browser, where the white panel and blue menu read clearly from the sofa.
My List
My List keeps the films you want to watch. Press Add to My List on any film page, and the film joins the My List page with its poster in a white frame, like the shelves on the home page.
The list lives in your browser and works as soon as you add the first film. Export My List saves a small file; Import a saved copy on another device merges it, so a list started on a laptop can move to a phone.
Use it to plan evenings: a Shah Rukh Khan night, a Kannada double bill, or the Hollywood classics you have always meant to see. The My List guide has more ideas.
Categories
Categories are the blog's way of organising films, and HD Movies Point has plenty of them. There are categories by language: Bollywood, Hollywood, South Indian, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Punjabi.
There are categories by genre: action, comedy, romance, drama, thrillers and horror, family and animation, and superheroes. And there are categories by time: new in 2026, the 2020s, the 2010s and the classics.
The categories page lists every one with its number of films, and the sidebar keeps the most-used twelve a click away on every page.
Free and legal
Watching free and legally is possible in India and abroad. YouTube carries many free films, JioHotstar and MX Player have free sections in India, and Tubi and Pluto TV carry free films with adverts in other countries.
Many Hindi, Telugu and Punjabi producers post their older films on official YouTube channels, often in HD, and free-to-air television channels show films every week.
Watch now marks the free options for your viewing country. The Free and legal films guide gathers more.
Official services
In India, Netflix and Prime Video carry Hindi, South Indian and Hollywood films; JioHotstar carries Disney, Marvel and Indian films; ZEE5 and SonyLIV focus on Indian cinema; Aha carries many Telugu and Tamil releases; and Chaupal carries Punjabi films.
Abroad, the same global services carry many Indian films, and Google TV and Apple TV rent and sell films one title at a time.
Watch now lists every option for a film in your country on one page. The Official services guide compares them in more detail.
The official HD Movies Point
The HD Movies Point name has appeared on several addresses over the years, and people still search for them. This HD Movies Point has one fixed address, shown in your browser, and its own layout, writing and film pages.
Bookmark it or add it to your home screen, and it always opens with your country and My List in place.
Look-alike pages are easy to spot by their pop-ups, app prompts and piles of download buttons. The Official site and Site status guides explain what to check.
Staying safe
HD Movies Point shows posts, film details and links to JustWatch and official services, and every button goes exactly where its label says. That keeps browsing simple and safe.
Official services protect your device and pay the people who make films, from Mumbai and Hyderabad to Chandigarh and Hollywood. Each rental and subscription helps the next film get made.
Elsewhere, leave any page that opens windows by itself, warns of fake viruses or asks for card details. The Safety guide has a short checklist.
How the films are chosen
The catalogue follows the old blog's mix. Hindi films come first, with the most popular releases of the last decade and more, then English-language films from recent years, the South Indian hits that fill Indian cinemas, a Punjabi shelf and a set of Hollywood classics.
HD Movies Point is a catalogue for a general audience. Films sold on explicit sexual content are left out, so every category is comfortable to browse with family nearby.
Where the information comes from
Posters, stills, titles, stories, genres, runtimes, casts and audience scores come from TMDB, the community film database used around the world.
Where to watch comes from JustWatch, updated every day for every country. The help pages and this guide are written for HD Movies Point.
The catalogue is refreshed regularly, so new posts appear for new releases, and scores settle as votes come in.
Where to start
New to HD Movies Point? Start with the featured posts and the latest posts on the home page, then open a category from the blue menu or the sidebar.
If you know the film, type it in the search box. If you know the mood, try a genre category or the Popular Movies block in the sidebar.
When you find it, press More, then Watch now, to see where the film plays in HD in your country, and save the next one to My List. Enjoy the film.
Why a blog layout
Most film catalogues show a wall of posters. HD Movies Point shows posts instead, because a few lines of story, a still from the film and a category often say more than a poster alone. It is the layout the original site used in 2017, when it posted Bollywood and Hollywood films one at a time, and it still suits the way many people browse: slowly, reading as they go.
The date badge on each post answers the first question people ask about a film, which is when it came out. The Posted in line answers the second, which is what kind of film it is and where it comes from.
Poster shelves still have their place, lower on the home page and on every category page, where scanning many films at once is the point.
Hindi cinema of the early 2010s
The early 2010s were a lively time for Hindi cinema, and many of those films still draw audiences. Student Of The Year launched a generation of young stars, Rowdy Rathore and Ek Tha Tiger filled cinemas with action, and Chennai Express mixed comedy, romance and a train journey south.
The Films of the 2010s category lists these alongside Hollywood and the South, and the year pages split them further.
Hindi cinema now
Recent Hindi films have grown more varied than ever. 12th Fail turned an exam story into a national talking point, KILL set almost all of its action on a single train, and Shaitaan and Crew brought horror and comedy to big audiences.
New releases arrive in the Latest posts as soon as they appear, and the New in 2026 category keeps this year's films together.
The South on the national stage
South Indian films now open across India at the same time, often with Hindi versions released alongside the original language. That is how RRR, K.G.F: Chapter 2, Kantara, Pushpa 2 - The Rule and Kalki 2898-AD reached audiences from Kerala to Kashmir.
On streaming services the same films usually offer several audio tracks, so you can choose between the original and the Hindi version, with subtitles in either.
The South category on the blue menu gathers Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films together, and each language has its own category too.
For something with more heart, Angrej is a gentle period romance, Lekh a modern love story, and Guddiyan Patole a family comedy set between Canada and Punjab.
Most of these films carry English subtitles on the services that stream them, which makes them easy to share with friends outside Punjab.
These films look far better on today's services than they ever did on the old DVDs and downloads, many restored in HD and 4K.
The rise of Kannada cinema
Kannada cinema has had a remarkable decade. K.G.F: Chapter 1 announced a new kind of Kannada blockbuster, K.G.F: Chapter 2 became one of India's biggest hits, and Kantara showed that a local story rooted in folklore could travel the whole country.
The Kannada category lists them all, most popular first.
Tamil stars
Tamil cinema has some of India's most devoted fans, and their stars fill the category. Rajinikanth leads Jailer and Coolie, Kamal Haasan Vikram, Vijay Leo, Master and Beast, and Sivakarthikeyan Amaran.
Director-driven films sit beside them: Maharaja with its clever structure, Super Deluxe with its linked stories, and Jai Bhim with its true courtroom drama.
Many Tamil films reach Hindi-speaking audiences through dubbed versions on the major services.
Telugu stars
Telugu cinema's stars have become national names. Prabhas leads the Baahubali films, Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, Saaho and Kalki 2898-AD; Allu Arjun the Pushpa films; and Jr NTR and Ram Charan share the screen in RRR.
The Telugu category lists every film, and the South Indian guide explains how to find the Hindi tracks.
The Popular Movies block
The Popular Movies block in the sidebar changes with the catalogue. It shows eight films that are most popular right now, each with a small framed poster, its title, its year and its score.
New Hollywood releases, the latest Bollywood hit and a South Indian blockbuster often sit in the same list, which makes it a quick way to see what everyone is watching.
Every entry opens the film page, and the Watch now button there shows where the film is available.
The year links
The Movies by year block in the sidebar lists twenty years as small blue boxes. Each opens a page with every film released that year, Hindi, English and South Indian together.
The year pages are a good way to revisit a particular time: the films of 2017 that filled the old blog, the pandemic years of 2020 and 2021, or this year's releases.
The full list of years, back to the classics, is on the year pages.
Top IMDb
The Top IMDb page ranks the hundred highest-scoring films on the site by TMDB audience score, counting only films with at least five hundred votes. Indian and Hollywood films share the list.
TMDB and IMDb scores usually agree on older films and can differ a little on new releases while votes are still arriving.
The Top IMDb shelf on the home page shows the first eight, and the link beneath it opens the full hundred.
Easy to read and use
HD Movies Point is designed to be easy to read. Text is dark on white with generous line spacing, titles are blue, and links change colour when you point at them.
Every post, button and menu tab can be reached with the keyboard, and a skip link at the top of each page jumps straight to the content.
On phones, buttons and links are large enough to tap comfortably, and the posts reflow into a single column.
A weekend plan
A weekend on HD Movies Point can cover every corner of the catalogue. On Friday night, start with a new Hindi release from the Latest posts; on Saturday afternoon, choose a family film from the Family and animation category; and on Saturday night, pick a South Indian epic such as RRR or Bāhubali: The Beginning.
Add each choice to My List as you plan, and the weekend is ready before it begins.
Watching from abroad
Many visitors watch Indian films from outside India, in the Gulf, the United Kingdom, North America, Australia and beyond. The viewing country setting makes this simple: choose where you are, and Watch now shows the services that carry each film there.
Global services such as Netflix and Prime Video carry many Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Punjabi films in most countries, and Indian services such as ZEE5, SonyLIV and Aha are available in many of them too.
Availability can differ from India, so it is worth checking the Watch now panel for your own country rather than assuming.
Category pages
Every category opens a page of posters in white frames, most popular first, with the category's description at the top. The Bollywood page lists every Hindi film, the South page every Telugu, Tamil and Kannada film, and so on.
Genre categories such as Action, Comedy and Romance cross languages, so a Punjabi comedy sits beside a Hollywood one, and a Telugu action film beside a Hindi one.
Each poster opens the film page, where the Watch now button and the full details are waiting.
Reading a film page
The facts panel on each film page answers the practical questions. The original title shows how the film was released in its own language, the release date shows when it reached cinemas, and the runtime shows how long an evening it will be.
The studio line tells you who made it, and the TMDB audience score with its number of votes shows how audiences received it. Other names the film is known by appear too, which helps when a film has different titles in different languages.
The cast and director chips below make it easy to see who is in the film and who made it.
Similar films
At the bottom of every film page, a shelf of similar films suggests what to watch next. It draws on genres, language and popularity, so a Hindi thriller leads to more thrillers and a Kannada action film to more action from the South.
It is an easy way to keep an evening going: finish Andhadhun and the shelf might suggest another sharp thriller; finish Kantara and it might point to K.G.F: Chapter 1.
Every suggestion opens its own film page with a Watch now button.
Your data
HD Movies Point keeps very little about you, and all of it in your own browser. My List and your viewing country are stored in local storage on your device.
Export My List creates a small file that stays with you, and clearing the site's data in your browser settings empties everything at once.
Posters load from TMDB's image servers and the font from Google Fonts. The privacy page explains the details in plain language.
A first visit
On a first visit, everything is ready at once: the welcome post explains the site, the featured posts suggest a few films, and the latest posts show what is new.
The only choice to make is your viewing country, the first time you press Watch now, and the site remembers it after that.
From there, the blue menu, the sidebar and the search box are all you need to find tonight's film.
Many of these films carry Hindi dubbing on Indian services, which makes them easy to share with grandparents too.
Streaming services also offer children's profiles, which keep the choices age-appropriate.
Thrillers from every language
Thrillers cross languages easily, and the Thrillers and horror category mixes them freely. From Hindi cinema come Andhadhun, Drishyam and Attack; from Tamil, Maanaadu, a time-loop thriller; from Kannada, Rangi Taranga, a village mystery; and from Telugu, HIT: The Third Case.
A thriller night that moves from one language to another is one of the best ways to discover how differently each film industry builds suspense.
How the site stays current
HD Movies Point is refreshed regularly. New releases get their own posts, new films join the categories, and the Popular Movies block and the Top IMDb list update with the catalogue.
Scores settle as audiences vote, so a new film's number may move a little in its first weeks.
Watch now reads JustWatch's daily listings, so the path to watching is always current, whatever the day.
